A truck driver is a job that involves operating a large commercial vehicle to transport cargo and materials. They may travel long distances, or make multiple stops, as needed. During their travels they must take frequent rest breaks and be mindful of weather conditions and traffic. Upon arrival at their destination, the driver unloads their cargo and/or delivers it to the customer. They then drive back to their start point or to the next delivery. Throughout the day the driver must uphold safety standards and keep detailed logs of their itinerary and hours.
