Birmingham Auto Care is looking for an experienced mechanic to join their growing team. The right candidate will have a hardworking attitude and be eager to learn and grow with the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in vehicles
  • Perform safety inspections and pre-purchase inspections
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, tune-ups, and brakes
  • Replace worn parts, adjust serviceable parts, and lubricate vehicle parts
  • Keep accurate maintenance records of customer’s vehicles
  • Identify and order parts needed based on inspections and order parts as needed
  • Communicate effectively with customers about automotive issues

Work Hours and Benefits:

The ideal candidate will work 8am-5pm, Monday through Saturday with alternating Sundays off. Birmingham Auto Care offers competitive salary, as well as health and dental insurance. There is also opportunity for growth and advancement within the company.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of automotive repair experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues
  • Proficiency using scanning tools and diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills

Training and Education:

The successful candidate will be provided with full job training and will have the opportunity to pursue automotive proficiencies such as certifications and licenses.
