Busser Job Description

A busser is a restaurant employee responsible for clearing and cleaning tables, stocking tableware and glasses, and resetting the tables for the next guests. Bussers may also be responsible for helping to serve food, setting up tables, and providing guests with clean napkins and condiments.

Additionally, they may bus trays or take out from dining areas, clean and stock service stations, sweep and mop floors, and clean and store equipment. Bussers are an essential part of any restaurant's staff, playing an important role in the functioning of kitchens, dining rooms, and bars. Though many bussers have experience in the restaurant industry, they do not necessarily need to have busser experience in order to be successful in the role.
