St. Louis Builders Inc is looking for an experienced Safety Manager to take on the important role of ensuring a safe work environment for our employees and contractors. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing health and safety programs, enforcing safety policies, performing safety inspections, and responding to safety-related incidents and emergencies

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, programs, and procedures
  • Conduct and document periodic safety inspections
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety violations
  • Prepare safety and health reports and audits
  • Research and recommend safety training programs and materials
  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and laws
  • Collaborate with management to ensure that safety protocols are met
  • Identify hazardous work conditions and recommend corrective measures

Work Hours and Benefits:

The Safety Manager will work a standard 40-hour workweek between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. The position includes a competitive salary and benefits package that includes health care coverage and 401k plan.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational safety, Environmental Health, or a related field, as well as a professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST). Additionally, the candidate should possess a minimum of five years of experience in a safety management role.

Training and Education:

The successful candidate for this position will also be required to complete ongoing safety education and training, as well as participate in safety-related activities.
