The Arborist is responsible for maintaining the trees, plants, and other botanicals on assigned properties by implementing forestry techniques. Duties may include working from heights to treat the health and safety issues to trees; cutting and removing dead or hazardous limbs; applying chemicals; pruning; spraying for insect infestations; cleaning debris from sprinkler heads; installing climbing aids; and planting. He or she gathers and reports any tree information to the crew leader or land manager.
